When emergencies arise, you can feel confident that your cat will be in the hands of a well-versed, experienced veterinarian who will offer a feline-friendly approach when they are brought to the CSC. During business hours, we can manage many feline emergencies and urgent issues and have experience performing thoracocentesis to remove pleural effusion, urethral catheterization for urinary tract obstructions (blocked cats), administering blood transfusions, induction of vomiting (emesis), treating common toxicities, wound management, foreign body ingestion, and we can admit patients for hospitalization, administer IV fluid therapy and place feeding tubes as needed for critical patients. When the clinic is closed, we have additional hours when a doctor is often still available by phone in addition to 24-hour access to an ER doctor at our partner emergency clinic Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) located in Dublin.
